                                         WTF GOP
Racist, Sexist, Xenophobic Demagogue Wins NH…

By Ryan Grim Washington Bureau Chief, The Huffington Post, and Igor Bobic Associate Politics Editor, The Huffington Post.

Editor’s note: Donald Trump is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist, birther and bully who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.

I am outraged by the headline news above, published on February 10, 2016, right after the New Hampshire Primary results.

I myself have studied Journalism, and it is clear to me that The Huffington Post has blatantly thrown away the ethics book in regards to its Journalistic reporting.  My Journalism Professor constantly reminded us that a reporter’s job is to report, Who, What, Where, When, and Why, simple as that, and the reporting must not include “opinion”.

The headline above is offensive, unprofessional, and shows opinion from the writers/editors. In my opinion, Mr. Grim, and Mr. Bobic, have failed miserably as journalists, and the Editor’s note, is begging for Mr. Trump to file a Libel suit against the publisher!

I have compiled some information on the ethics of Journalism, and can only hope that journalistic reporting will change to what it is supposed to be, that of reporting the facts and the truth.

Legal Responsibility:

Any libelous or defamatory presentation ………, is not permittable and should strictly be avoided by the journalist.

Professional Responsibility:  A journalist should have sincerity and commitment towards its profession.

The presentation must be truthful and unbiased above all and shall never bring any embarrassment or complicity to the organization.

Guiding Principles:

Journalism’s obligation is to the public. Journalism places the public’s interests ahead of commercial, political and personal interests. Journalism empowers viewers, listeners and readers to make more informed decisions for themselves; it does not tell people what to believe or how to feel.

Ethical decision-making should occur at every step of the journalistic process, including story selection, news-gathering, production, presentation and delivery.

The really sad thing is all the major news media outlets only report opinions, and get away with slanderous writings that do nothing but confuse the readers. Sadly, it is reflective of the corrupt political system that is in place at this time also.

More than ever, the public, and citizens must do their own research to find the truth regarding News and Information today. Unfortunately, there is too much opinion that is being reported as truth. As they state in Marketing, “Buyer Beware”! (Caveat Emptor)
