Hello!

So, I found this website that I have to share with all you “knowledge/trivia junkies”.  It is http://www.mentalfloss.com.

Go check it out, there’s lots to look at, and if you are like me, I’m particularly drawn to the “Quizes” section. I don’t know what my problem is, why I feel I need to take random quizzes (guess I’m missing the stress of test-taking in college?) Anyway, I know I need to keep my mind sharp, (ie….see how smart I am….or not…..we all think we are smarter than we really are, right?).

I was pleasantly surprised at getting all of them right, with 25 seconds to spare. I guess that geography class in college paid off for me on this….ha!

It won’t show your answers, only cheers you along, fun.

Now, maybe I should try to get on “Jeopardy”……..naw.

You can see my quiz below:

Can you name the answers to the geography questions in the time limit of 3 minutes?

Score 50/50 Timer 00:25

You got 100% correct

I have decided that I am kind of like Courage the Cowardly Dog (from Cartoon Network). I too live in the middle of nowhere, yet I still have fun. I also deal with alot of weird obstacles and strange things in my life, but I try to be happy and look at the bright side. The only thing is I am not neon pink (thank goodness), and I don’t freak out as much as poor Courage does. The little dog has several things going for him, he is loyal, and selfless. Besides all the bizarre shenanigans that are thrust into his life, he does have temporary melt-downs, but he manages to bounce back in the end.

So remember to still have fun, especially if you live nowhere.

Father’s day is soon approaching, and will be on Sunday June 19th. I’ve decided that there just aren’t very many good gift ideas, so I did some research for some unusual gifts.

I know if my dad were still alive, he would be thrilled to receive any of the following gifts shown below (well, he might not like the stuffed unicorn). But hey! These are fun and wacky gifts to give dad to show your appreciation for all he does!

So, forget the usual “tie” gift, and check out these neat and nifty gifts!

Dad's dream chainsaw

Every dad needs a chainsaw (unless he lives in the desert)…..so, why not make it flashy and artistic!

My dad loved food….he was a happy jolly man with a big belly to prove it! If you have a lot of time, maybe bake dad this cute owl, and tiny owl babies to munch on. Yum!

Or, if your dad is a health freak, and he would rather eat raw fish, try making him some cute hello kitty sushi! Fun!

If dad is having a bad day, he might need to carry his flask with him….

Dad works hard at the office, I’m sure he could use a cute bear USB port and clock to cheer him up!

If dad is a beer drinker, he could really use a cute DJ kitty bottle opener!

Finally, I put the unicorn pillow as a possible gift, as well, just look at that silly face….it will put a smile on dad’s face for sure.

Please let me know what you plan to get your dad for father’s day, and remember…..he does NOT want a tie.

You may or may not know, awhile back I did a post about how my life was boring, and I needed an angsty boyfriend…to spice things up.

The obvious person to fill that role was Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, and I explained the reasons for this choice in that particular blog.

Well, the former drummer for NIN is Josh Freese. He works with all kinds of bands, I can’t even name all of them (I do know one is Devo). But anyway, I like to follow Josh on Twitter, http://twitter.com/joshfreese), as he has some really interesting and funny things to say, as he describes in his Bio, he is an “All around nut.”

I decided that he is really kind of nutty, as he posted pictures of himself driving to go get a vasectomy, and also post-op pictures of his recuperation.  That is really getting personal with “the whole world” if you ask me.  But, for whatever reason he does these things, you just don’t know what he will post next (so intriguing huh?).

Josh makes these bizarre short video clips about various things going on in his life, and I happen to find them quite entertaining. This is how I live my life vicariously, watching the strange things that other people do. Yeah, I know….don’t tell me.

Well, check out this video he made:

Oh, to have a life where all you are worried about is getting some “Sweet’ n Low.”

So…..my birthday is coming up soon, so I thought I would get some ideas from you guys and gals on what I should do to celebrate.

Okay, first some background information. I usually don’t do anything exciting or fun, but this year I can do what I want, as the cat will be away (hubby), so the mouse will play (moi).

I’m going to set up this little survey, and let you vote on what I should do! Yea! Won’t that be fun!!!

You are The Moon

Hope, expectation, Bright promises.

The Moon is a card of magic and mystery – when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window.

The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause them irreparable damage. This time however, can also result in great creativity, psychic powers, visions and insight. You can and should trust your intuition.

A fellow blogger had their “card” on his website, and I thought it was interesting, so I decided to find out what card I am, and the above is the results.

I’m kind of worried about the, “mental problems”, because as far as I know, I don’t have any past mental problems….is this a forewarning? (Uh….I already avoid drugs and alcohol…because they make me goofy…..unless prescribed by my doctor of course). Those of you who know me already question my sanity, I’m sure of that…lol.

I’m also confused about being “the moon”, which is supposed to be “bright promises”, but my logic tells me…shouldn’t I be “the sun”?  If you think of it…the sun brings us “brightness” etc….I just don’t get how the moon would be associated with that, unless it is referring to the bright “full-moon”.  Maybe that is it.

I would really love it if I did have psychic powers!  How cool would that be?  Anyway….the best I can hope for is some kind of psychic vision regarding my future.  Maybe I need to look into learning how to meditate…so that I can have one of those “psychic visions”….he he.

Oh, I almost forgot the “madness” thing…..what is that all about?  I’m I going to go mad?  aaaaggghhhh!  I’m going to go mad just trying to figure this thing out.

And the “illusions”……don’t get me started with that….I think we are all living in a scary illusion.  I don’t like that I have “hidden enemies”….great, now I’m going to be totally paranoid (I’m going to go get myself a strong amulet now).

I have my doubts about the “genius” thing too.

If you want to find out what you are, just click this link:Find my card

p.s.  Why is there a scorpion on my card?  That is a scorpion right?
